Privacy policy

This policy covers personal information PicNet Pty Ltd (ABN 96 096 382 982) collects through this website. We handle it in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

If you use a contact form on this site, we collect the name, phone number, email address, company and message you enter, and — on the hardware quote form — the product and quantity you select. We use it only to respond to your enquiry and to keep a record of the conversation. We do not sell it, and we do not add you to a marketing list on the strength of an enquiry.

Submissions are emailed to picnet@picnet.com.au through Amazon Web Services in the Asia Pacific (Sydney) region, and are held in our Australian email and CRM systems.

Analytics and cookies

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people read. That tag also reports conversions to Google Ads, which means Google may set advertising cookies in your browser and use them to show you PicNet ads elsewhere. Google processes this data outside Australia, under Google's privacy policy.

You can opt out at any time with Google's Analytics opt-out add-on, by turning off ad personalisation in your Google Ads settings, or by blocking cookies in your browser. Nothing on this site stops working if you do.

Our contact forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA v3, which observes how the page is used to tell people from bots. Google's privacy policy and terms of service apply.

We do not use any other tracking, and we do not track you across other websites beyond the Google advertising cookies described above.

Server logs

This site is served from AWS. Its logs record standard request data, including IP addresses, for security and diagnostics. We do not use those logs to identify individuals.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept while they are useful to the relationship — typically for the life of an engagement and our record-keeping obligations afterwards. If you ask us to delete an enquiry and we are not required to keep it, we will.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email picnet@picnet.com.au or call +61 2 8437 7900 and we will respond within a reasonable period, normally 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a privacy matter, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

We update this page when what the site does changes. The date above is the last time it changed.
