Questions buyers ask
How do I choose a systems integration company?
Ask which integration platform the firm would use and why, who owns the integrations and any licences afterwards, and how failures are monitored and fixed. Ask for an integration of similar systems that it still supports.
Do I need an integration platform licence?
Not always. Commercial integration platforms carry ongoing licence fees; open-source platforms such as Centazio do not, though you still pay for the engineering and hosting.
What is the difference between application integration and data integration?
Application integration keeps systems in sync as things happen, such as a new member in one system appearing in another. Data integration usually moves data into a reporting database or warehouse. Many programs need both.
