Questions buyers ask

How do I choose a managed IT provider in Sydney?

Start with fit rather than size. Check that the provider supports organisations of your size, that its support hours match yours, how it prices (per user, per device or a retainer), what security baseline it works to, and how it takes over from your current provider. Ask for a client of similar size you can speak to.

What should a managed IT agreement include?

A defined scope (which users, devices and systems are covered), response targets for each priority level, how after-hours incidents are handled, the security baseline, backup and recovery testing, reporting, and how you can leave. PicNet's managed IT FAQ sets out how it handles each of these.

Is a local Sydney provider better than a national one?

It depends on where your people are. A Sydney provider can be on site quickly and keeps support local; a national provider suits organisations with offices in several states that need people on site in each one.
